EXPLANATION OF ADDITIONAL CAMPAIGNS:

To Afghanistan with Love… U.S. soldiers serving in Afghanistan have a difficult task and need to know we support them. By participating in this campaign, support is sent to chaplains and/or civilians supporting our troops in this area and items are distributed to the troops. Contact Arline at aapcampaign@adoptaplatoon.org for more info or to participate.

To Iraq with Love… Most of our U.S. troops are in Iraq and many are in remote areas not getting support. We can’t let one soldier go by without knowing we haven’t forgotten them. By participating in this campaign, support is sent to chaplains and/or civilians in this area supporting them, and items are distributed to the troops. Operation Underwear… Sand wears out clothing quickly, so to keep our troops as comfortable as possible,, this campaign keeps their undergarments replenished. Contact Arline at aapcampaign@adoptaplatoon.org for more info or to participate.

MRW…Morale, Welfare and Recreation facility…Your care packages will be delivered to those Soldiers who are fighting in the circle of mountains while living in very sparse conditions.  They do not have access to a PX and must depend upon Military drops and care packages for their needs.

Coffee Houses…A place where Soldiers can go to relax for a bit, have conversation and a cup of coffee.

Humanitarian Mission / Disaster Relief… Troops who deploy throughout Central & South America to conduct humanitarian missions and disaster relief on behalf of our Nation.  Soldiers, Sailors, and Airmen deploy to Central and South American and are away from their families for long periods of times and need to know that their Nation has not forgotten them.

The Soldiers’ Truck Stop…A place for Transportation units and others to stop for showers and sleep before continuing on with their mission.  Many times they arrive late at night and the chow hall is closed, but they are able to get something to eat here and take a shower and rest.
